The training is designed to provide opportunities for understanding issues and challenges in economic corridor development in Asia.
The training aims to enhance policy, planning and decision making capacities in regional power market development and cross-border interconnection projects of participating middle level government officials from ASEAN countries (except Singapore) and the People’s Republic of China (PRC). At the end of the training, participants will propose strategies and action plans for power market development at national and (sub) regional levels.
Special Economic Zones (SEZs) as Catalysts for Economic Corridors, Value Chains and Production Networks
The six-day training aims to enhance capacities of BIMP-EAGA, IMT-GT, GMS and CAREC officials in overcoming constraints to and identifying avenues for cooperation and areas for better implementation of SEZs. At the end of the training, participants will propose a framework and action agenda for SEZs development and cooperation at national and subregional levels.
Tourism Management in BIMP-EAGA, IMT-GT and GMS – Enhancing People to People Connectivity for Inclusive Growth
The training will enhance the capacity of mid-level BIMP-EAGA, IMT-GT and GMS officials to develop and implement innovative functional and strategic tourism interventions which include policies, programs, and projects and apply the latest tools, frameworks and concepts in tourism planning and management to facilitate environmentally sustainable and inclusive growth.
The five day training is designed to provide opportunities for understanding issues and challenges in developing selective, focused and demand-driven national social protection systems. It will focus on understanding concepts, approaches, processes and tools in design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of national social protection systems in general and social assistance in particular.
